Today in 1986, an early manager of Bob Dylan (among others), Albert Grossman, passed away. He had a unique way of smoking his cigarettes — described in various writings as a “fist-grip.” That inspired Dylan’s line about “punched my cigarette” in “Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again.” Listen for it.
